  Short version: We had Jerry, Hazel, and Josh out to determine whether we had the necessary ducts to install a vented clothes dryer.  They had to deal with a number of curious issues, but kept at it until they had the system figured out.  We are EXTREMELY happy with the work they did; we asked that we be added to their list for annual cleaning of our ducts. Long version: We purchased an older home (mid-50s) that has had several rounds of remodeling.  The house came with a ventless clothes dryer that needs to be replaced.  We want a traditional dryer (vented), and could see a duct that PROBABLY is for a dryer, but that had not been used in years.  Before getting a vented dryer, we wanted to make sure we had a functioning vent.  Jerry, Hazel, and Josh came out to evaluate and clean the duct.  It was not at all clear where (or even if) the duct we saw was connected to an outside vent.  They worked quite a while to determine where the duct went after going into the ceiling, and eventually figured everything out.  They could easily have given up after looking for the obvious possibilities, but they kept working.  We now are very confident that a vented dryer will work in our house.  We are EXCEEDINGLY happy with their work, and our experience with DuctVac Northwest.

  DuctVac NW knows their business!  They are professional, efficient and polite.  They (Jerry) first came out to clean the heating ducts in our new house.  After the cleaning Jerry pointed out that the hot air flow from our floor registers was weak, which we had also noticed - the only way to warm the house was to turn the thermostat up to 74 degrees or more.  He told us about DuctVac's duct sealing service, which reduces the leakage of hot air out of gaps in the ducting.  Jerry and Jim from DuctVac just did the sealing for us today, and for the first time we can feel a good flow of hot air out of our ducts!  Thanks guys!

  Our heating company recommended DuctVac Northwest after inspecting our furnace for the winter.  We had never had the ducts cleaned and had no idea that it was a necessary maintenance procedure. Everything went smoothly and the service tech was a gem.  Best of all, the efficency of the furnace is hugely improved. We now have AIRFLOW! I'm going to have it done every three years (as recommended) from now on.
